Many ways to deal with those pop-ups: 1. Check where that pop-up is coming (its address) and block it with your firewall. 2. Use pop-up -blocker, built in many browsers and available to many others as plugin. Its also possible that you have bugs in your computer, check it for viruses and spyware and adware. Free tools available from internet.
I've never experienced popups on this site using the methods described by Notmi (a good firewall and activated popup blocking).
Stupid Popup Revisited! The popup was at the top of the page and is labeled "Canadian Content". It looks like part of the Webpage It has been there a few times before. At the moment it's gone. Paul :???:
