Slip, you are 100% correct on XenForo bs Invision Power Board. Having used XF from both the front and back ends, I simply cannot wait to move us over.

Apologies to the Rogues here, as I've not paid as much attention to things on this side of the ocean. Standing up a new server environment has been an incredible amount of work, but well worth it. The good news is that I'll be able to use the hints I've learned there to smooth our transition.

When,oh when will that be? I've been to WW2Talk, and it's so much better than what we have. I can't wait for it to happen here.

Cheers to Belcampo1980 who jumped aboard the Patron wagon.

Lou, I totally agree, the XenForo software is impressive. Unfortunately we are still working up to an amount where we can move over. WW2Talk donated at a rate about three times what we have seen here, that is the reason they migrated ahead of us. With every paycheck, I am slowly adding to the strategic reserve, and we are getting close. It looks like we might be able to move in September if all goes well.

Just made my first new post over on the talk. Nice touch, but I'd prefer if the number of posts and salutes were posted were listed.

The support we get from our our sister site WW2Talk is vigorous. Two stalwart members from across the digital pond BFBSM & Owen are now Patrons here. Thanks gentlemen!

Cheers to 716thresearcher, a Patron who signed up a couple weeks ago and I hadn't yet mentioned it.

Also, it was referenced peripherally in this thread but I wanted to specifically recognize LRusso216, Slipdigit, & TD-Tommy776, all three of who were the some of the very earliest Patrons to support the site.

Now I'm blushing, but thanks, Otto. This site is always interesting. I learn something new nearly every time I poke my head in. It has reawakened my desire to read about WW2. I hope we're getting closer to the changeover.

I should be the one flushed with color. I mean like, so many positive waves from the Rogues...we can't lose.

Apologies on the delay with the server move. A few things came up, most significantly the tech guru who performed the move for WW2Talk has taken a long term engagement, and is no longer available. The search for a hyper capable replacement continues.

Thanks again to all who contributed. we will have news soon.
