    It was the standard German tactic of the time to handle enemy tanks: luring them into an AT trap by using light, mobile tanks as bait. It worked until the British and others stopped charging at every opportunity they saw.

    By the way, the Cruiser IV or A13 was simply a weak tank. It had very thin armour and the small 2pdr gun which couldn't do a whole lot against any tank, though it was enough to handle light German armour. Generally it belonged to a completely different class (light fast tanks) than the Tiger and therefore the two can barely be compared, nor can the A13 be expected to take on a Tiger.

    I'm not sure if the two ever met in combat, since the A13 was quickly phased out in favour of the Crusader.
