    Yep, I read basically the same thing.

    Some other city around there I think is going to get it.

    i personally don't care were the big lady ends up. (however, i love to see it laying in the harbor of antwerps :) )
    BTW: very nice picture. think i use it for as a background on my computer

    i assume that iowa lies in the middle of the USA so idd, iowas doesn't stand a change for bidding on their own battleship.

    some of the reason that sisco put was the gay policy of the armed forces( don't ask don't tell)

    weel, Los angeles or San Diego are also nice places for a battleship

    wait i got a great idea take it to the gulf (miss some hurricanes) sail it up the missippi the up the iowa river then up the ceder river right up to my house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    well it should end up in iowa :D

    It would be nice if she did end up in Iowa, but it's unlikely that she will. Aside from the difficulties of getting her up the Mississippi, where would she be berthed? And would anyone in Iowa be ready, willing, and able to provide the necessary upkeep for the ship? I can tell you, maintaining USS NORTH CAROLINA is very expensive and pretty much requires constant fundraising.

    O well davenport or the quad cities have a nice river fron and i think iowa would like to help our only ship :(

    is this the raison why they call torpedo's a "fish"? fish in the water => boom => a lot of fish out the water :D
    besides, i don't think that anybody will allow you to fish with guns, and certainly not when they are so big
