    The M43 field cap or “Einheitsmütze” was extremely popular with the German soldiers during the Second World War and was used extensively by both the Wehrmacht and the SS. The design of the cap was based on the German Gebirgsjäger’s ski cap, the only differences being a slightly extended bill and a smaller circumference to the top panel.
