Well the time has come to create a place to contain all the insightful and wonderful political discussion we've been having here. The Stump is the place where ALL modern political discourse of any kind MUST be placed. Rogues who engage in modern political discussion on the open forums will have their posts dumped in here and the the posters will likely be thrown into the Cooler for a few days.

To make things 100% clear, we'd really prefer you post about the Second World War rather than in the Stump, it is not of equal value to the rest of the site. Threads here can be locked or deleted for absolutely no reason other than the whim of an admin. Complaints about content editing by the admins will be ignored and the complainant's avatar may be changed to that of a puppy or possibly a crying baby. We cannot guarantee the integrity of anything posted in the Stump sub-forum.

    You have been warned.

Otto -- How about political discussion relating to the period up to about 1950? Should politics relating to WWII also be placed here?

Good point David, it's a clarification I should certainly make. This forum is strictly for those current political threads that tend to turn into tennis matches. WWII era political discussion is certainly more relevant in other areas of the forum.

Posts made in the Stump will no longer count toward user totals. Existing posts will not be deducted at this time, but a post count rebuild will eventually take place and they will be removed from user counts altogether.

    Enjoy!
