What if Patton had lived?

    I raised the question to my wife would Patton have enjoyed his retirement? She replied he would have gone back to equstrian arts and won some more Olympic medals. i was surprized that she was so knowledgable about the general, I like patton but I doubt if he would have liked me.

    I dont think he would have fit in too well with the post WWII politics and cold war mentality, I can imagine him verbally blasting policies and procedures to the point that he would have been forced out of the service. Would have made some interesting history though. Can you imagine an active Patton in the Korean war?

    Yes, and I reckon he'd have backed McArthur's call to go invade China.

    I reckon that Patton would either have died of bordom, or would end up as a mercenary.

    Patton did say already during the end phase of ww2 that they should continue to Moscow.he would have made a pretty angry figure during the cold2 war phase.
