What Is Going On With Immigration In The U.S.?

Looking at http://www.fairus.org/issue/annual-immigration
in 2012 the US took in over 1M immigrants.

 

Canada has 35.5 million population. We do our share.

 

My impression is that Canada and the US have been better at assimilating the new imagrants compared to Europe. Of course it's probably easier when most of the ancestors of your current population have only lived in country for a couple three centuries or less.

 

I don't understand why any nation would be expected to "do their share?" People should fix their own countries rather than be expected to be taken in by other nations.

Since we've expanded the welfare state a lot of people are not coming to work, they're coming to hang from the tit of government. It's not Uncle Sam anymore, it's Uncle Sugar Daddy.

Look at this woman - 20 years of housing, utilities, food, health care, education and a monthly social security check for her and her 7 kids. Work? What's that?

The economy of welfare. Kinda like war or prison...Wonder if Al G has stocks in any of the above. Because, you know, money.

 

Couldn't the US sue the countries who have the most contributors, -have them take responsibility for their citizens actions, or lack of action by the government from which they originated?..Could be a foot in the door for US in those places. We are way nicer than China.

 

We make New Zealand pay millions every year to help pay for the kiwis on the dole (welfare) here in Australia...
