That is very nice. Do you have one room with all or many of your collection on display? You must have a vast collection by now and how long have you been collecting? As I said once before, there is an Army-Navy store called Roman’s Army store just up the road. He has hundreds of authentic items and I have bought items such as ammo cans for some of my bullets and shotgun shells, a holster for one of my revolvers, stickers and patches and a new Rothco field jacket with the button in liner, an exceptional warm field jacket. Then, I still have a few items that were my father’s gear from WW II. My collections consist of diecast NASCAR, FDNY fire trucks and a variety of diecast farm tractors as well as a few diecast planes, tanks, a half track and Jeep. I am actually just about out of room for more and in the past I have given some away to friends and family. Also, a few models that I have built.

Thanks.I have been collecting for a while. Hope the Army-Navy store has good stuff. The ROTHCO /SHRECK Wholesale stuff is ok. Not as good as GI. Was it a very big jacket? Original Large size coats are around.I have all kinds of stuff. Whatever I see and like,I buy. When I was at Home Depot and got another plastic 35 Gallon size storage bin. Rich A. in Pa.

It was a size “Large” and fit me nicely except that the sleeves were too long, so my wife being a pretty good seamstress, shortened them for me.

Hello! I will show you my best catch on beginning of this year. Went to dig on frontline in south of Kurland and got amaizing find Enigma chipper machine. Maybe someone already saw it on facebook, but maybe some of you may not seen it. Clearly can see how germans were on hurry to try to destroy it by cutting wires.

I would think to find that Enigma is the high point of any metal detector fan's work. . I would have guessed they would have been pulverized if at all possible but by then it was probably totally futile.. Great work on your part.

Rich, Some more great additions to your collection!
Are there any markings on the inside of the airborne smock that indicate it's year of manufacture and is it the half or full zip version?

A very nice 1st pattern Denison Smock. It's a shame that the inner label is worn to the point that the manufacture date can't be seen.
The 'tail' has also been removed which was often done by the wearer after jumping in to a combat zone .
