    A 1936 Berlin Omympic games souvenir. This is a A4 sized first day stamped sheet with all ten issues canclled from Berlin.

    I got this item at the flea market today. I want to ask you more experienced collectors wether it is real or fake.

    I think that the medal is original but the ribbon is a reproduction but for the War Merit Cross with Swords not the medal.

    Your expertise stands correct. This a good German merit medal (probably a dig up which explains the replaced ribbon). This is not a problem though considering this Verdienst medal is the most common one and worth about 25 €, so the ribbon wouldn't add alot to it anyway. You could try to get the other easy to get medal the Cross and the Cross with swords.

    Btw the second ribbon is for the Ostmedaille (1941-42) Winter.

    Also around 25 euros. They are easy to find because they were awarded to all those who had spent some time on the OstFront in 1941-42 , in other words millions.

    Received the reproduction ribbon I ordered from ebay for a Serbian Balkan War Cross 1913.

    True. I bought the medal for a really good price so I wanted to buy the ribbon to look better in my display.

    What I got yesterday. U.S.N. green and tan coats with Aviation Electronics patches,1960's maps and 1908 and 1918 bonds from Austria. Rich A. in Pa.

    Got this stuff yesterday. U.S.M.C. patch and sweetheart pin,W.W.2 U.S.M.C. collar device,U.S.N. M.I.A. pin and 173rd,(The Herd) pocket patch. Rich A. in Pa.
