Named for the future British prime minister, Winston Parker Churchill of Okotoks, Alberta joined the Royal Canadian Air Force, served as a Wireless Air Gunner in a Wellington bomber, was shot down on his unlucky thirteenth mission, and spent the rest of the war in a German prison camp. Now 100 years old, he told his story today on Wartime Wednesdays.

Thanks for sharing that story Elinor. He looks good for 100, and to have an older sister of 102 is unbelievable.
