    Jaeger contemplating his forthcoming medals

Joe sees an opportunity to earn money and carries on with his old paper round. Drew in background thinking why is he giving me toilet paper.

Drew being his normal camera shy thing....didnt half used to rib him for that...

Razin, Martin and Wotnochad in a light hearted moment planning their holiday and book signings for after the battle magazine.

Me looking suitably tough, looking for something to kill...I never did get a shot off.

Razin the day after 4th wilts passed around the home brew cider...richard can be seen in backround being helped to feet before enemy attack.

The only pic we got of Blacksnake.....not being a permanant member of the unit this is of him walking towards the enemy trench minutes before the fatal volley rang out....we to this day, still dont know why Jaeger told us to shoot him.

Rich when he lost it, I'm off to have a word with them he said, and then was up and over the trench.

wtid the last morning....finally losing all sense...singing men of Harlech and wandering when the relief column would arrive from Cape Town...

We never got a pic of vonpoop digging he was much too fast to keep an eye on.

But he's just sent me this pic of the haphazard temporary tunnel he dug out on the day tht linked us to ww2 talk...

Taken on his recent visit there last week.

One hates one's archaeology being tampered with.

Unfortunately I have bad news....Drew tells me the last batch of pictures he took were ruined by a chemist in Rotherham, spilling mustard (french of course) onto the developing tray....So we only have one final picture from the action I am afraid...But its a good one...Something wtid45 has had at the back of his mind for some time...bit likt wanting to jump into a taxi and saying follow that car....he has seen a Bridge too Far nearly as many times as Zulu and Zulu Dawn it seems...his favourite line with Lt.Col Frost in Arnhem...about the camoflauge being wrong....its ok for the country but not for the town...so here we see him taking his opportunity with Jaeger as Jaeger plans the attack on the morrow...thats tomorrow for any Americans reading...

Wltd45 at last gets the chance to imitate his hero Frost at Arnhem Bridge....when he said to Jaeger...this camoflauge is good for the trench sir, but useless in no mans land dont you think?

And there our story ends...but the reunion is booked on the P and O ferry or more commonly known as Saucy Sues canal trips thru the woods for Next April, attendance is compulsary...bring wives....yes your own Drew...

But fear not....The story of Slipdigits southern boys has at last been found...Just getting the pictures of the Texas rangers together before publishing...

There are 2 more in the pipeline, almost completed...

The first is our American cousins, rising in the south and marching on Hollywood, the second a purely European mainland one, but with Ireland heavilly involved...

Silly I know, but laughter is after all the best medicine.
