We've taken WW2 Talk offline for a period to sort the slowness issues of late. The downtime might be as long as a couple days, but likely much shorter if all goes well.

If you've come here from our sister site WW2Talk.com, then welcome to the WW2 Forums! If the mood strikes you feel free to poke around here a bit. We are more than happy to have you stay in our home for a spell, beers are in the fridge.

We'll have your site back in action just as soon as we possibly can.

Sorry to hear that Otto. I hope it's only only a matter of days. If it's longer we"ll be happy to welcome the Limey refugees here and offer them a cup of tea .

I say old boy, that's awfully good of you. Cup of Earl Grey would go down a treat. No milk, just a dash of lemon.......

I am cunningly a member on both forums so that if one is down, I can still get my WW2 fix. Ditch the tea. I will have a few beers thanks and a hotdog would'nt go amiss - hold the mayo. I will supply the haggis and whisky.

    Likewise on both forums.

Bring on the haggis as long as it was freshly shot this morning......and only Single Malt of course.

I'm working extremely hard to get WW2Talk.com back online. Some heavy lifting is required, and it's slow going at this stage. I know it's tough not to have uninterrupted access to such a great site, but I do have a good and permanent solution in the works. Not an hour goes by without my thinking of the problem, accept my sincere apology for the outage.

Nothing since a week ago, mate.
Owen's handling direct communication, and I'm sitting in the hopeful 'no news is good news' box.

I hated knowing the site was in limbo.

Some serious heavy lifting still to be done however.

Yeah I just was over there lurking about in the thread about the movie "A Bridge Too Far" was being debated about being anti-British or not when the lights went out. Had to bail out and "escape and evade" back over here. Poor chaps, hope they make it out alright. I remember when we had out troubles over here several years ago, and for a couple of weeks and they took us in, albeit a bit grudgingly. Well, "Lafayette, we are here!" Wait, no that won't work. I know....

Welcome aboard matees. Remember to drop the "u" in words like harbor, airborne, neighbor, etc and no one will think that y'all are furriners. And salutes are common and welcome here as well. And only the place kicker and the punter puts their foots on the ball in football. And what y'all call football is soccer or kickball. Go ahead and apply for a concealed handgun permit too. Kodiakbeer has automatic weapons stash and gives instructional live fires from time to time upon request. Just bring the beer and some extra cash for ammo. What a country eh? USA! USA! USA!
