How many Nations had Ground Troops fighting in the Italian Campaign including Sicily, and name them.
15... Cant think of anymore... Although I think perhaps Norway, Algeria and Australia for some reason... So put me down for 18!
Bet I think of one I missed as soon as I post this...
I've got a few more, hoping the Gurkhas would catch some out.
I'm accepting down to Bn/Rgt sized units
Drop Palestine, it wasn't a nation then or now.
I'm accepting Palestine.
Australia didnt have any Ground Troops.
Sthn Rhodesia was another tricky one, an Armoured Car Rgt served with 6 Sth African Armoured Division.
2 to go, plus one which is technically not correct.
I wont be here for a few days.
My list is.
Maybe New Caledonia, I've misplaced my book.
And for the really outfield comment, Japan.
I know it is not my turn, but in an effort to revive this very interesting thread here is a new question.
In 1942 one of the Axis armies surrounded an entire city with barbed wire, essentially creating a concentrating camp out of it.
Name the city and the Axis force that did it.
Tobruk by DAK
A wild, off-the-wall guess - Skopje by the Bulgarians ?
Skopje might be it but I guess Kiev. I remember that German HQ at one point calculated that they could feed 1.5 million and there were some 2 million in the city so they got rid of some 500,000. Kiev and German Army ( SS and Wehrmacht ).
Skopje was in the same coutry before 1990 as the city we are looking for.
Zagreb?? By Croatia.
We are getting closer.
Minsk by AGC?
No, closer to Zagreb.
Sarajevo and German/Italian army?
Nope, getting colder.
No, think OSCE.
