    hey everyone!
I was wondering, since I saw the name of one of our members (tankpark.freeserve.co.uk) whether any of us has or wants to tell us about his homepage?
As for me, since I posted my modelling pictures in the modelling section, I started to work on a homepage for all my tank-photographs and modelling pics. Since I cannot operate fully on my own with this, I rely on a good friend of mine who helps me constructing and designing the page. I hope we can launch it within a couple of months.
As soon as I am online with it I shall post the link here, but in advance and while awaiting the things to come, I'd like to see other people's experiences! Please tell me; what can I do and what most certainly not?

I wouldn't mind giving such a course - I have the first three parts ready already (I've been planning to make a website on website making ;))

The easiest thing would be for people who are interested to write their names in this thread, and then I'll send out e-mails. That way, people with modem connections will have easier access to the information, and so forth...

Hey Panzerprofile, would you have a 'guest page' on your website for other people's model pics?

Thanks Christian, I´ve just had a brief look at it. :)

Looks a bit complicated for someone like me who have little experience when it comes to programming, but I´m motivated and I´ll certainly have a serious go at it.

And to the rest of you; This is a great offer, don´t miss it out.

    :)

    yeah thanks Roel.
Hey everyone I've been on holiday and so on so I couldn't watch the forum that intensively. To Christian: thanks for your offer! I would certainly appriciate your mail and look forward to it.
To Ricky: I can try and see what I can do for a guest page. I'm not very sure though, since I'm getting a little free space of my friend's homepage for my site. I don't exactly know how much space on his account he's going to give me, so we'll see. But I shall keep the idea posted. ;)

    Hi Christian,

I´ve had a good look at what you´ve sent me so far, and I think I´m beginning to understand. Just a couple of questions :

How do I make sure that Notepad is set as the standard editor for HTLM files ?

And, is there a way to see if what I´ve done actually works ?

    Thanks.

    :)

If using IE, go to the Settings menu (under Functions), and select the Programs-tab. Here you can set the standard HTML editor.

After you have changed this, close IE, and open it again. Then, right-click on some area of a website (except an image), and select 'View source' (usually below 'Add to favorites'). It should then open the website in Notepad.

No porblem - just bring 'em on.

I've bought a new URL (my fifth ;)), where I'll put all sorts of ramblings, including the course (in due time), so I'd appreciate any feedback.
