My name is Paul, I'm 46, my interest in WWII I guess, comes from all the people I've met that had some kind of involvement in one way or another... my dad tried to enlist in '43 but they discovered he was only 16. He did have friends that volunteered for service (Canadian armed forces). Also had an uncle that was a gunner in a Sherman tank. I'm a civilian woodworker, and was installing millwork on the west coast with an older Danish guy, I told him my grandfather was from Germany, and he told me his grandfather was a sniper in the SS! and had been shot out of a tree a couple times, and ended up in an American POW camp. I love war movies, and he gave me a copy of Das Boot, Director's cut,(excellent) I find all aspects of the human preoccupation with war, to be quite fascinating, actually. I took up the WWII 1/6 scale military hobby about 6 years ago, and was looking for a place to post diorama pics, when I came upon this site. So I signed up, cheers

Welcome to the forum. I'll echo the others and say I look forward to pics of your dioramas. Post them so we can see them.
Hello, I uploaded a few albums of dioramas on my profile page, if you'd like to check it out. The storyline that is followed is from a book I'm reading called "The Rommel papers". If you start with the Wehrmacht MG34 crew and work back to the most recent upload, the series of events leads up to Rommel's capture of Tobruk which earns him the promotion to Field Marshal...
I looked at all your diorama pics. They were spectacular. You should put them in the general forum for all to see. Nice job.
