I'm a collector and historian that got turned onto WW II ever since watching "Victory At Sea" with my Dad back in the early 1950s. Looks to be a wealth of knowledge contained here; hopefully I can contribute to this forum. Glad to be a member! Steve
I echo Jeff in welcoming you. I hope you become a productive member of the forum. Whereabouts on the Jersey shore are you?
A little bit more about who I am..... 1. My forum name, "ToughOmbre" is in honor of my father who was a rifleman in the 358th Infantry Regiment, 90th Infantry Division (Tough 'Ombres) in the ETO. More about him to come in another thread. 2. I'm 62 years old and as stated in my first post, have been hooked on WW II almost since I was born . 3. Have lived in NJ all my life. Born in north Jersey (Jersey City), and since 1984 live at the shore. 4. Love everything related to WW II; weapons, battles, technology, personalities etc. One thing for sure, there's always lots more to learn about (and share), and this place looks like a great place to do it. 5. My biggest hobby is collecting WW II militaria, although three college tuitions have put a crimp in my budget. 6. Served six years in the New Jersey Army National Guard (1971-1977) as an 11D10. Steve
Thanks to all for the warm welcomes! Lots of good stuff here. Hopefully I can add some things as well. Thanks, Steve
