Just watched it at the drive ins last night (No other way to go watch a movie in real style :v4victory: ) and have to say that while on a realism point of view that movie is totally off he mark on the action, story line and graphics its great.

Favorite Jaeger would have to be the Aussie one, Striker Eureka. Good ol' Aussie engineering =]

Any one else seen it? Got a favorite Jaeger?

You mean giant robots fighting giant monsters wasn't realistic?

I tend to watch warfilms, but I might watch Pacific Rim sometime, if only because they called the robots Jaegers.

    My favorite Jaeger is Jägermeister.

Haven't heard much about it myself, but saw part of the trailer once. Seemed a bit like Godzilla meets the Transformers.

I know what you mean. It's gotten to the point where I don't just hate the shows. I hate the very concept of them.

Well, except for "Top Shot". And "Pawn Stars". That's it, though.

    Or maybe... ah, never mind.

Pawn Stars is entertaining, but I fail to see why it is the flagship program of the "History" Channel. I guess when you compare it to the other programs they have now ('Swamp People' comes to mind) it is the most historical thing on.

I miss the days of non-stop WW2 programming -- does anyone else remember when it was jokingly known as the 'Hitler Channel'?

Those were the good old days. You could sit and watch 12 solid hours on the air war capped of with the film 12 O'Clock High. Now it's just the shitty remnants of un-reality TV. How can these new shows be more popular than a good Combat! marathon?

I watch so little TV now, I really do not need one, except in the fall of the year for about 3 hours each Saturday afternooon or evening and one Monday night early in January.

My wife and daughter have started watching Duck Dynasty. I am unimpressed, but at least it is not Honey Boo Boo.

Maybe we could get someone to do a reality show about a WWII forum. The highlight of each show could be a flame war such as Monty vs Patton, Sherman vs Panther, Bismarck vs Iowas, how much better looking German uniforms were. We could do a three or four part story arc at the end of the season on how the Germans could have won and leave a cliff hanger for the next season with them having problems landing a V-2 on the moon.

    I see potential here.

Yeah, a potential to be identified with the "trekkies" it is.

Very good summer movie, was charming and full of dumb action, in a good way. Good salute to large robot genres reminiscent of the 60s, 70s.
