Hi there, May as well stick to the system ... My username is comprised of the first two letters of the sirnames of my grandparents. I'm 23 and I've been interested in WW2 for as long as I can remember - in earnest since around 12-13 (spent my highschool years 'unschooling' so had a lot of time to pursue this interest). New Zealand I'm interested in all aspects of WW2 although particular areas of focus fluctuate as the mood takes me - for the past year or so I've been particularly interested in the North African Campaign (I intend to write my Honours thesis on some aspect of this campaign). Interests are diverse - listing them so briefly seems a little artificial. Other history interests: twentieth century socio-political history as a whole - the Great War through to the fall of the Berlin Wall - with military conflict as a particular focus. I'm likely to find virtually anything written about this period where it concerns the above fascinating. Anything else I'd like to share ... I think this counts as study, therefore an entirely legitimate thing to be doing during an intellectual property lecture.
Welcome to the Forum! It's great to have another Kiwi join our merry band of WWII nuts. You may find this thread & website of interest: Courage and Valour: New Zealanders in the Italian Campaign
Welcome br! I'm luckily married to a pretty Kiwi and have visited there 15 times or so. Mostly on the 'mainland'....... aka North Island! I'm big into warbirds so I've been to a few museums there as well as attending the big airshow in Omaka in 2009. I just got 'here' myself but it looks like they have a WIDE variety of areas to spend some time in!
