I am really amazed here, ..very great reading!.....Bronson of course in the Battle of the Bulge and The Great Escape...I just watched 2 of his movies last night.. [ does that count mysterious, Poppy? ] ...some I recognized, but did not know they were in the service.....
Durning always did the Memorial Day concerts here in the US..he always came across to me as a hard charger, a$$ kicker from his acting..he had Silver Star and 3 purple hearts..wow

Good reading, Fred. Some I knew, some I didn't.

i liked benny hill the most. didn't know dr. bones also wore a uniform. funny, the most macho actor in history, lee marvin, got shot in the butt and went down for keeps, while the quintessential dapper englishman david niven was something of a recalcitrant.

they showed her husband, now why didn't they include her?

Glad I read it. His service was more impressive than I initially though

Wow these are some really neat reads here. Some of these people I never even knew were in the military. Thank you for sharing.
