Folks, I'm gonna bow out of this one. My frame of reference isn't necessarily ordered by decade, so I can't pull an 80's tune out like that. Rather than waste anyone else's time waiting for me to identify a proper tune, someone else can take the quiz.

    My apologies for the delay.

    ok, try this:
Into the distance, a ribbon of black
Stretched to the point of no turning back
A flight of fancy on a windswept field
    Standing alone my senses reeled
A fatal attraction holding me fast, how
Can I escape this irresistible grasp?

well, lets get this quiz going on :D can't wait forever to the conformation of Me262 (google gives me all the confermation i need :D )
    try this one

They came for him one winter's night.
    Arrested, he was bound.
They said there'd been a robbery,
    his pistol had been found.

They marched him to the station house,
    he waited till the dawn.
And as they led him to the dock,
he knew that he'd been wronged.
    "You stand accused of robbery,"
    he heard the bailiff say.
    He knew without an alibi,
tomorrow's light would mourn his freedom.

fans of nightwish have the advantache

The first bit fits exactly to what I remember of the tune of Whisky in the Jar, but I first heard it by Thin Lizzy

    Now a bit harder...

    Enses requirimus saevos nos,
    nos ferrei reges servi fati,
    morta ex terra mortiferra tela
    in hostes bello ad moventes.
    Equos frenamus furentes
    Capi ta superba quatientes
    mortem hostibus et luctem date
    acrem di manes sternadis.
    Ave Nevis, ave ferrum,
    Ave tela, ave cruor
    Ave pugna, ave moritur.
    Skylon!

Nope. That 'song' can be found from soundtrack of one of 80's movies.
