    In short; nothing. It was a sidestep from something Andy wrote.

    Here is lesson 2 regarding the Forums: Threads have a tendency to go OT (=Off Topic) at times. When this happens to an interesting discussion, it is the 'done thing' to go back on topic asap. If the sidestepping generates responses of its own, you can open a new thread about this and let the old one run its course.

    I really do not know. I have seen just a very brief film of Von Küchler and a Dutch general, maybe the one you mention signing the armistice, but Von Bock can't be seen, and my grandfather was not in a very visible position, I suposse...

    Ok, Lemme see if I can find some pics of the armistice. The Netherlands Institute of War Documentation should have a few...
