Today three more pictures. Still Hoek van Holland: this time the former Torpedo depot (TorpedoLoods) . Nowadays it's a wellknown restaurant on the harbour .

At first sight you see a restaurant with a flag that says "TorpedoLoods") . appealing isn'it?

then you see some warehouse shaped buildings, now I'm curious! Could this be the former Torpedo depot?

If you still need a clue! No doubt permitted now: this is the former Kriegsmarine Torpedo depot. The hill on the left side is a bunker that is covered up with grass.

Quite a historic place for a restaurant isn't it? I will post more in the future.

    bigfun!

I don“t think that it is a torpedo! To me it looks more like one of those "paravans" (?) they used when clearing the see from mines.

I saw this object in an portuary zone that belongs to the Coastguards and the Customs. I wonder what it is I thought about a search light , but this is pure speculation.

If you know where to look you will keep finding interesting things.

Here is a relic of the Bristish occupation form 1945 . Ther eused to be about a hundred of these, there are two left and they are used by the customs.

Not so long ago civilians still lived in some of those. They destroyed the buildings and now live in luxurious villas at the same spots instead (the land near the sea shore turned them from poor to rich:))

actually nothing. I think a gun, an antenna or something similar was riveted on this square. It is actually not an entrance. Note the intact original black paint!
