I agree to a point Carl.

    BUT consider this.

POTUS is called leader of the FREE world.
POTUS decisions are changing the way we live in.
POTUS decisions are changing who we get on with buisiness.

SO to argue that we should butt out is a tall order. The former POTUS crapped all over us and made buisiness difficult. In addition he was hostile and rude to europeans. If you want respect, give respect. I have no problems in understanding europeans having issues with the former POTUS, nor with feeling refreshed at the approach the current has got.

Well that is my 2 øre.

It's not the party it's the other individuals that want the office. If a Democratic candidate didn't find it then a Republican likely would have and before the primaries were over. It's possible it slipped through but I doubt it.

This is once again exactly the point. People can sit there and moan on about how we are trying to meddel in US affairs, but since the US president is in charge of the most powerful nation on earth frankly it is also our business. Gordon Brown is hardly going to make a decision tomorrow that could get hundreds of US soldiers killed, the same can not be said of POTUS (as Bush demonstrated). Gordon Brown is hardly going to have our police hold US citizens without trial for extended periods of time, the same can not be said of POTUS. Gordon Brown is hardly going to announce that anyone who isn't an ally, supporting us in everything we do and joining in our military escapades, is an enemy, the same can not be said of POTUS (Dubya again).

So if you think that the actions of your president only affect you then you must have been living in a hole for the last century.

Anyhow, this thread is getting OT, anyone care to respond to the points raised re. Obamas birth certificate? I still have yet to hear an explanation of how his birth could have been registered in Hawaii if he wasn't born here and indeed how his 'long form' which isn't available from the DOH anyhow would prove anything the short form hasn't shown.

Oh, and one other thing, people have mentioned the comments of his grandmother re. his place of birth. Well keeping in mind the prediliction of grandmothers to confuse the names and faces of their grandchildren, much less where they were born, I think the statement of the mother of his estranged father (as I understand it) is hardly reliable evidence.

Because Hawaii will issue a birth certificate to children born over seas up until they are 6 months old. It seems his parents were either living in or visiting another country when he was born.

It's a technicality to prevent immigrants and naturalized citizens from becomming President.

McCain faced the same hurdle when he ran due to his being born in the Panama Canal Zone.

I don't think that cuts it because a. under this statute such certificates can only be issued for children who's parents are citizens, in which case he would also be a natural born citizen (or whatever it is) and b. the certificate has been accepted by the US state department as proof that he is a citizen, just as it would if he needed a passport etc.

One other thing, from what I have seen the Hawaii DOH will indeed issue 'birth certificates' to children born outside the US, they are however simply proof of identity and do not register their place of birth. This however is a 'Certification of Live Birth' and certifies not that he was registered there but that he was born there. It states quite clearly that he was born (not that his birth was registered but that he was born) at 7:24 PM on August 4th 1961 in Honolulu.

So just to clarify, whatever you folks might say, this form is a certificate from the Hawaii department of health that Barrack Hussain Obama was born alive on 4th August 1961 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Not that his birth was simply registered there but he might have been born elsewhere but that he was born there.

Hi Jeager, I can agree to butting in to a certain point-such as Somalia and Kosovo and such-but when it comes to having UN inspectors being invited over here to over-see an American Presidential election-like john kerry did-I draw the line at stuff like that. That is just one clear example ;-) Also, thanks to that international embarassment-I will never vote for kerry or anyone that is even slightly like that snake.

Now another sore point wiht me is-what business is it of other Countries commenting on our (at least most Citizens desire it so) on the way we are handling and or trying to handle-the situation along our Border with Mexico to stem the Invasion of Illegals flowing across our border-let along Drug Trafficing as well as Human Smuggeling and such. IF someone inCreat (just as an example) wants to complain about it-all I can say is T.S and for that person to keep their mouth shut until they 1) either know more than we do here about that situation 2) Until it effects them in some negative way 3) when they start flipping for the bills of those Illegal Aliens who are over-whealming our Medical, Judicial and other Humen Resources Systems and programs we have here for Legal American Citizens.

I don't "see" any other nation stepping forward to offer anykind of aid to my Countries poor, sick, eldery and handicapped people who ARE here legally but who either have a VERY har time getting any or the assistance they need-thanks to all of those illegals flooding across our borders. Thanks also to the massive fraud that our Social Security system is undergoing by these illegals (and inmates too) and legal American Citizens who have paid into Social Security all their working lives-like most of us here-and I do even though all I have now is a part time job) but I guss in the International Communities opinion-it's perfectly OK for illegals to flood across our borders sucking up all of our public resources and allso many of them fraudently applying for and getting Social Security payments. I can't expect to get any SS until at least the age of 67 and will probably be higher than that because that is still over 20 years away.

However, illegals can get more than I can by breaking OUR laws and sneaking across OUR borders and taking advantage of OUR school systems and programs and such. I jut tried to apply to go back to school and get more College education at one of the Universities here in Houston-but I was refused because they have a damned Quota they have to fill with students from another Country. That was nothing but pure crap. I can't further my education because spots in registering for school-HAVE to be held open in case Johnny Ringo Hassan from Eutopia-decides that he needs to come over here and go to College.

Yah, as you can tell, I am angry as hell. I was wondering if anyone here could tell me when an American in his own COuntry cannot get and or do things that legal AMericans can do? I don't know if this situation is all over the country or not? about holding open quotas for foreigners to attend a university here. I also tried along with two of my Brothers-to get into class at the formerly known as Texas A&I in Kingsville, and al three of us were turned down. I know I can get into TSTI in Harlingen, but they do not offer anything I need or want? So in effect-IM screwed on trying to get more education that I will pay for out of my own pocket-no Pell Grants needed. But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I can't do so because the many Johnny Rings fro Eutopia are deciding that THEY need to benefit from the American education system.

There are many matters that the UN and POTUS and such need to keep their noses out of. The above are only a couple I can think of at this time.

No offenses meant to you Jaeger-I respect you and your opininions.

    Cheers-Carl.

Hi mi amigo-the nicknames are easy to come by after having a former Platoon Sergeant as a roommate. That guy came up with some of the most - well, "unique" nicknames for everybody he saw-not that I condone that but-many of the nicknames he came up with-such as Mule-Woman, Gnome-woman, Legs, Enchilada-Lady and many more I can't mention. The Guvnuhvator is an altered version of Govnervator - meant for Arnold Schwarzenegger ;-)) Jethrobama Bodine and Obama-Lama-Ding-Dong-are mine ;-)) Teeth-is my nickname for our vice pres. I also have one for nancy pelosi too-but can't list it here. Supreme Justice member ruth-bader ginsberg-Sarge and I call her Hatchethead. The neighbors we had coung on and used them as well.

I have nicknames too but shant go into them ;-))

Joe Cool is the order of the day. Though it might look like im posting while being angry-no worry-im not angry with the person im replying to. The only times I have get angry-is when I have to keep changing the TV channel to avoid all those damned geico commercials. They run those commercials into the ground and through to China ;-))

Easy Stephan.............I was just answering the question. The document he provided is an "abstract" of the original document and is not the "Original". The much disputed "long form" of the document will have the address of the location he was born and the name and signature of the doctor or person attending the birth.

    I have a copy from :

Carl, since the US seems perfectly happy to meddle in other peoples affairs (invading countries who's policies it diagrees with being just one means, let alone sending weapons and troops to support geurilla movements, pro US despots and so on), when you complain about others criticising US policy you find yourself in the same position as a penguin walking across very delicate ice wearing a particularly heavy hat.

Anyhow, I think we have strayed rather from the main point which is that as long as POTUS and the USA in general throws it's weight around on the international stage, the rest of the world has every right to complain about the US and it's leaders (as long as the complaints are legitimate rather than simply 'yankbashing' which is an entirely different matter).

However as has been made clear the 'long form' does not exist, you cannot write to the DOH and request a copy of it, it cannot be produced. The best one can hope for is a copy of this certificate which takes it's information from the DOH register of births.

I don't see any reason to make those restrictions. On the otherhand I feel perfectly free to ignore or ridicule those made without any reasonable basis. Free speach and all that. :)

That was EXACTLY the problem with Bush. That's how he thought and that's why he was so unpopular. No one likes a loud mouth bully who threatens other nations to do as it says 'or else'. I was amazed that people who thought like you assumed the UK was right behind you in everything you do. Not so and I can confirm that Bush was seen as a a bumbling liar who fabricated evidence and bullied weaker Nations into doing his bidding. The UK press is full of articles lambasting Blair for his craven cow-towing to every Bush whim. At the moment there is a high profile extradition case going through the British Courts. There is outrage that Blair gave your country the right to extradite UK Citizens whilst at the same time denying us the same powers over your population. Talk about double standards!
This has changed. You now have a more balanced individual in charge. The world is mightly relieved.
If you do not want to hear what I think then change the thread title so it is clear only US Citizens are allowed to reply.

Well Mr BO has bullied Israel and Honduras and insulted Russia too on the way to the G-8. But he does do it with such "style".....

BO balanced? He's a narcissistic, inexperienced, communist dolt who would be lost without a teleprompter!

And, yes, we (US Citizens) will deal with our own politics, thank you very much

BTW Mr BO's is now at -8 for the difference between strongly approve versus strongly disapprove his "presidency" and falling right along with the drop in US employment rates.

Well aware of that Stephan. It's a case of having to accept things at face value and not everyone is willing to do that. I personally do not see the problem with a President who was born abroad to "Natural Born" citizens, provided they are raised in the US.

I believe that Obama's parents do not fill that requirement. His mother was born in Hawaii before it was a state and his father was born in Afica someplace. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

The Natural Born Citizen clause was put into the Constitution to prevent undue favor for Brittain and I am sure it could be considered an out dated requirement; however, while the POTUS may be the leader of the "Free World" he is first and formost the leader of the United States and should reflect such.

But Brad, you are missing a very simple point, the 'certificate of live birth' shows quite clearly that he was born in Hawaii. It does not simply state that his birth was registered there, it states that he was born there. This is not a question of 'taking things at face value,' it is a DOH issued certificate which proves that according to their medical records BHO was born in Hawaii.

If you won't accept this as evidence then what will you accept? Everyone goes on about this 'long form' but in this case it simply doesn't exist, even if it did there is no way it could be any more conclusive. I seriously do not understand why people are finding it hard to accept he was born in the US when there for everyone to see is the certificate which states where and when he was born.

So please, will someone explain to me why this form, this 'certification of live birth' which clearly states he was born in Hawaii is not sufficient evidence. All the explanations so far have been little more than nonsense and hearsay with no basis in fact.

Two points........Hawaii has not allowed "Birth Registrations" of persons born outside the US since 1986 and there was no differentiation made when the records were changed to an electronic format. So copies of "Registrations of Live Birth" are documented on a "Certificate of Live Birth" regardless.

There is also no record of witness or attending physician annotated on the document nor is there a hospital address both are things indicative of a "Birth Registration".

BHO's mother was only 18 when he was born and his father was not a US citizen so, BHO did not automatically qualify as a US citizen.

here's another link that explains the dicrepencies and the Constituional articles to wich the argument pertains:

Is Barack Eligible to be President? : NO QUARTER

His lineage is convuluded at best.

I guess it is too much to ask that the President of the US is "Natural Born"? How would you feel if the Queen of England was born in New Jersey and her father was American?

I know that you Britts are sticklers for maintaining Royal Blood lines. Weren't QE's parents second cousins or something to that notion? again feel free to correct me if I am wrong and I am not trying to incite an argument.

Well Stefan, since ENGLAND was guilty of the samething for a couple of hundreds of years-YOU shouldn't be able to say anything should you? And don't gimme that load of manuer that that was all in the past and I can't bring it up. If you want? and when I have the time? ill dig up more modern exanples of British meddeling in other Countries affairs. I usually do not choose to go down that route because I have friends living in and or are from England (whom I greatly care about) and even though it is not meant-it still relates back to them.
