I wasn't able to comment about it on that thread, I was watching the history channel last night and they talked about it. They had actual camera footage of the event, I have to say it looked like a overwhelming powerful experience. There must have been over fifty searchlights on-top of that Nuremberg structure which had the concrete swastika that the Allies blew up -that was awesome footage too! I tuned into the last five minutes or so then when I clicked to see what it was called the next program had already started. I thought someone here might have seen it also?
I have seen that program, quite awhile ago since I rarely watch that channel anymore. Their lame programing which seems to be slanting more toward Discovery style "reality jobs" than history. At any rate, if you really wish to see a good set of shows concerning that, I recommend you go to your local video store and pick up both The Wonderful, Horrible Life of Leni Riefenstahl, which has a very interesting overview of her life on both sides of the camera. And the full 1934 feature; Triumph of the Will (Triumph des Willens). Both are well worth the time and effort.
What cathedral? Do you mean St. Basil's Cathedral? Do you think it's wise trying to reopen a thread just closed yesterday by one Administrator?
