Are you serious?! SC's defense held TP and the OSU offense to 90+ yards of offense after the first quarter! 90+ yards in three quarters combined! You only had 10 first downs compared to 18 for SC. SC had 118 rushing yards compared to OSU's 88 and SC lead in TOP 32:27 to OSU's 27:33. Barkley also threw for more yards than Pryor. The only stat OSU lead in was punting......But hey according to Rick Neuhisel punting is winning..... Oh yeah.....maybe if OSU had a coach that had 'sack' maybe the final score could have been different. OSU had everything going for it to win this game...it was at the 'Shoe', Pryor's second year in the system, Freshman QB starting for the first time on the road and supposedly a "rebuilding year" for the Trojans.....and they still lost....face it Bucknut fans...your team and conference is slow...plain and simple.
Yes, I am. OK. USC had a total of 6 rushing yards at the end of the first quarter. You took the ball to the 3 yard line and was only able to punch it in on fourth down. 12 total yards of first quarter offense, and I'm not counting lost yardage from penalties. Thats never a good way to start the game, whoever you are. So as you can see these "stats" are usually negligible. see above So why are you contradicting my opinion of the game. Like I said, bad clock management at the end of the first half, and a lackadaisical performance in the fourth quarter. So like I said, OSU lost the game, they more gave it to USC than USC earned it. When have I stated I'm a Buckeye fan? I would appreciate a more pragmatic approach to this thread. No one has slammed any other teams here. I have no problems with your favorite team, in fact I make it a point to follow the teams of people who post here (within this thread) consistently. PS. Lou don't kill me, I defended OSU
I won't kill you Mike, but you'll be on a short leash, at least until we thump Temple. I'm just glad I get the Big Ten Network on TV. PSU wins the conference, then who knows.
Forgive my debate...I will not let it happen again. I took exception to the "SC did not win" comment and listed my reasons as to why I did not agree with your assessment. You also assume that when I said Bucknut fans I was talking to you. Anyways, let's not ruin this topic on what is the best sport in this or any land! I'll be in Seattle this Saturday cheering on my Trojans! Fight On! & Beat the Dawgs!
Well, the Crimson Tide mopped the floor with North Texas, Florida got by Tennessee. Notre Dame won on an interception after a floater that could have been the winning TD for Michigan State. And lookie there, USC (West) was beaten by Washington, of all teams.
USC protected the ball about as well as a fat kid guards cake. 3 TO's inside the red zone...unfreakinbelieveable...... Props to coach Sark, he had a game plan and made great adjustments at the half. The UW OF looked like swiss cheese in the first have, gave up 6 negative yardage plays. In the second half they gave up only 1. One things for sure...Aaron Corp is not going to get it done. My Trojans offense looked just plain bad.....
Pete Carroll just cannot get the Trojans up after a big game. They do this every year. Beat a ranked team and then lose a game they should win easily. That is squarely on the coaching staff's shoulders. Meanwhile my Buckeyes rebounded well after the loss to SC. A 38-0 drubbing of Toledo, who many "experts" predicted would give the Bucks a fight if not upset them outright.
Looking forward to OSU vs. PSU at Happy Valley. Should be a great game. Ironic that OSU has a quarterback from Pennsylvania and PSU has a quarterback from Ohio.
Well, the Cow College pulled one out against West Virginia. Of course, the WV QB throwing 6 interceptions and losing 1 fumble did help WV's cause any.
couple of things from this week in NCAA Division I football Miami looks good this year. After a few down years it looks like they got that swagger back. BYU got crushed by FSU. I was pleasently surprised, but was not expecting such a high score. USC I will not comment on. Notre Dame pulled out the win, but it looks like they lost Michael Flyod for the year. Also, looks like the flue is affecting quite a few teams. PSU had 16 laid up during the week and Florida is pretty concerned about their outbreak as well. I was really pulling for another Texas Tech upset over Texas, but it just wasn't meant to be. Looks like Boise St is finally getting some of the respect they deserve. If they can finish undefeated we may just see a non-BCS team in the chmpionship game this year, barring other larger schools also going undefeated.

Bad news out of Penn St. LB Sean Lee may well miss this weeks game against Iowa with a sprained knee. On a brighter side Navorro Bowman should be back, for Saturday. Both players are listed as Possible but Lee's more day-to-day
What I don't get is Ole Miss being ranked #4. Ole Miss, #4 in the nation? Just doesn't seem right, or even possible....
Spent the weekend appartment hunting so I only got to watch PSU and Iowa. Good game for Iowa to upset PSU for the second straight year. Two of the top five fell this week. What will happen next?

funny Orygun ripped the guts out of Cal pretty sorely. not even sure if Orygun should be in the top 25 though .......... they still have to prove themselves
