Direction for new recruit

    I have a picture which includes my friends uncle, William Burke. the picture has got 1944 Scotland written on the back and is the Signal Platoon of the 2nd Battalion, Royal Ulster rifles, part of the British 3rd Division that took part in the Normandy landings. I'm attempting as a Christmas Present for him to identify the members of the group but can't find names on any websites. Any direction to which forum I should direct this is very welcome.

    Welcome Fran,

    This very site is a great resource, but the previous suggestion is an astute one as they would be better suited to your specific Commonwealth request over there. we've no problem with cross membership or posting, the two sites are very closely aligned.
