How many dives this season then?

He did a lot of dives in his first seasons, but then again if we are to slate divers forget Spain or Italy...

Chelsea flop Deco has declared he plans to leave Stamford Bridge this summer, with a reunion with Jose Mourinho at Inter Milan most likely.

AC Milan are refusing to give up hope of signing Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko despite the Bundesliga club's refusal to sell him.

    ------------

I also read Ancelotti ( Chelsea ) would be interested in getting Gattuso and Pato to his team, but Cesc Fabregas has no intention of following Cristiano Ronaldo to Spain...

So still some major changes taking place I guess. Milan needs to strengthen their team and so does ManUtd.

Valencia sporting director Fernando Gomez has denied media reports an agreement is already in place for David Villa to join Real Madrid.

Valencia: No Villa deal agreed | Latest News | Football News from TEAMtalk

    ------------

I have a strange feeling Real Madrid is yet to make another major purchase this summer....Villa is not the only option as Diego Forlan might be available for transfer.

Samuel Eto'o could be on his way to Eastlands after Barcelona revealed Manchester City had made the striker a "stratospheric offer".

Reports suggest the Catalan giants have accepted a 30 million euro bid from City and barca president Joan Laporta believes the temptation of a mega salary would prove too much for Eto'o.

"Eto'o has a stratospheric offer from City, which would convert him into the best paid player in the world," told Catalan radio station iCat FM.

"It's starting to become clear that he has this monster offer.

"He wants to stay but an offer like this is very difficult to refuse.

However Eto'o's agent, Josep Maria Mesalles, claims the attacker is more inclined to remain at the Nou Camp for the remainder of his contract, which expires in 2010.

"If there is not a 180-degree turnaround then he will stay with Barcelona," Eto'o's representative told ONA FM.

According to Spanish reports, Eto'o is unhappy with the way that he is seemingly being forced out by Barca and he could decide to stay in a bid to upset the club's plans.

This scenario would then allow him to leave the Spanish giants on a free transfer under the Bosman ruling next summer.

O my God! Will they never stop....?

"Big-spending Real Madrid have reached an agreement with Lyon to sign Manchester United target Karim Benzema, according to the striker's agent.

Widespread reports in Spain and France have suggested Real are closing in on the signature of the France international.

Benzema's future has been the subject of intense speculation for the last few weeks, with United also credited with an interest in the striker and Miralem Pjanic claiming they will win the race for the 21-year-old.

However, Benzema's agent claims Real have won the race for the forward's signature after agreeing a fee of 35million euros with Lyon.

Karim Djaziri has told French radio that a deal has been agreed between the two clubs and that only personal terms and a medical need to be completed to see the move go through."

    More stars to Real....???

Ribery: I only want move to Madrid

Franck Ribery has told Bayern Munich he wants to leave the club this summer - but only to join the new generation of galacticos at Real Madrid.

"I have made up my mind, I want to leave," Ribery told L'Equipe. "It will be Real or nothing."

I will be laughing my ass off this season if Real Madrid fail to win anything because all their superstars can't play together.

Chelsea have rejected a £30million offer from Manchester City for John Terry and warned Mark Hughes not to bother making an improved bid.

We can confirm we have completely rejected an offer from Manchester City for John Terry," a statement on the club's website read.

"It was made clear to City, for a second time following an approach last season, that we would not entertain any conversation on the subject.

"At the time John also reiterated his total commitment to Chelsea.

"We would like to make it clear, and will not do so again, that John is not for sale."

Owen signed on a free to Manchester United...

With the support and service in that squad he might reach the heights from his early years. Somehow I think he will spend less time on the treatment table than he has done for us (newcastle) in Manchester.

The dreadful takeover saga at the Toon continue with a new £80 million bid from an asian consortium. Current owner Mike Ashley has insisted on whoever bid 100 mil. will get the club. With pre season training underway, the geordie ship is still rudderless as no manager has been appointed.

I hope that someday the magpies will look back and say that the relegation and the following upheaval was the best thing that ever happened to the club.

    Here's hoping...

Chelsea have hit back at suggestions they have left captain John Terry in the dark over transfer interest from Manchester City.

Terry takes home £20,000 a week less than his England team-mate Frank Lampard, who is on £150,000 a week but it is almost certain the club will offer him an improved deal.

    ---------

Christ! Considering these guys get ads payments and bonuses from games I´d think some 20,000 a week difference cannot be the reason to change the team if you get 130,000 per week....They get already too much money.

Another new star player for Real

Striker Karim Benzema has been presented as a Real Madrid player on Thursday night after completing his 41million euro transfer from Lyon.

And some nasty news for Arsenal fans:

Barcelona president Joan Laporta says the European champions will target Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas should they fail to land Franck Ribery

Tevez agrees to become City slicker

Manchester City have announced they have reached an agreement to sign Argentinian striker Carlos Tevez in a reported £25million deal.

    -------

    ????

Rafa Benitez is battling to keep Javier Mascherano at Liverpool in the wake of Xabi Alonso making his position at the club virtually untenable.

Alonso is believed to have contacted the Liverpool manager and told him he wants to leave the club and join Real Madrid, but stopped short of asking for a transfer.

The Spain midfielder remarkably made the call less than 24 hours before he married his long-term girlfriend Nagore Aramburu in his home city of San Sebastian on Saturday, where the guests included former Liverpool team-mate Luis Garcia and Everton midfielder Mikel Arteta.

That plea to Benitez came as the Bernabeu giants stepped up their relentless pursuit of the 27-year-old, and although Benitez still does not want to sell, there seems little chance now that Alonso can remain a Liverpool player.

Apparently my Abe is in talks with Manchest City (Englands Real Madrid, with copious amounts of money to spend once more) though it is interesting that none of the Big 4 in England have made any blockbuster moves this year.

It does turn ManC into a powerhouse with the players it has already acquired though.

    Good call Stuttgart!

    ---------

Real Madrid have confirmed talks to sell Dutch striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar to Stuttgart are at an 'advanced stage'.

Huntelaar appears to be on his way out of the Santiago Bernabeu just six months after joining Real from Ajax.

He scored eight goals in 20 appearances in La Liga last season, but the arrivals of Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka and Karim Benzema have shunted him on to the fringes of the Real squad.

Masal Bugduv, Today's Top Nonexistent Moldovan - The Run of Play

"Moldova’s finest, the 16-year-old attacker has been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal, work permit permitting. And he’s been linked with plenty of other top clubs as well."

That's from the Times' recent list of Football's 50 Rising Stars, which ranks Bugduv the 30th most promising player on Earth. He's also been profiled by When Saturday Comes and by Goal.com. He's a phenom, the story goes, watched by "scouts all over the continent." It's an enviable position for a 16-year-old to be in. Rather less so, sadly, for one who doesn't exist.

....and the Moldovan newspaper that publicized his story (Diario Mo Thon) are all perfectly and unimpeachably imaginary.

It seems certain that "Masal Bugduv" is the invention of a prankster, likely from Ireland. Mo Thón, you see, is the Irish for "my arse."

Well, at least ManC won´t run out of attackers....

"Emmanuel Adebayor has been granted a work permit to join Manchester City in a move believed to be valued at £25m.

The Togo striker, who has spent three-and-a-half seasons with the Gunners, has still to agree terms with City."
