    Ok everyone, a two part question. Eisenhower had drawn up a plan in 42 for the invasion of the French mainland. What was the plan and where was the landing site?

    steve - it was operation sledgehammer and the proposed site was the cherbourg pennisula.

    Okay, On the Dieppe raid, one man was given a body guard of 10 men to "protect" him in the event of his capture. Who is he and why was it so important that he not be captured?

    Definitely a great question but after having read alot on Dieppe remembered this instantly.
