What an excuse. They should have complained before, not after the vote and I don't believe that British electorate was not 'uninformed'. Such claims are an insult to the "ellectorate" - people who considered question important enough to go there and vote. Now, they are suddenly "uninformed" bunch of halfwitts.

There's been some interesting breakdowns of the result by region, in an attempt to correlate with how it might have looked were it under the fptp system as per a General Election.
100+ seat majority for leave; which while mostly being an exercise in statistics also illustrates a potentially more serious issue for any MP that may become involved in parliamentary attempts to reject the result.

MPs always keep an eye on their constituency votes and the security, or not, of their seats.
If they don't, they sometimes aren't MPs for long.

Then, according to your yardstick, Juncker has descended to the same level of a Primary One class, but he hasn't. Here is how he spoke about the British retro-nationalists, cowardish British quitters who are now escaping the consequences of their actions. Marco was right when he said "Wow! Wow! ... Cow-! Ards". Listen to the man who easily switches among several languages, like I do, like real future Europeans do. Good bye Britain. Have good time in your Commonwealth.

I would like to see a single British politician capable of honest Juncker-type action after the Brexit vote.

    Hi Tamino,

Here's a link to an article regarding the lies feed to the public by Arron Bankks, the major financial donor behind UKIP. Apparently the British need not vote on facts, but on our "feelings". He has done nothing wrong as according to the Electoral Commission here in the UK it is entirely up to the public to sift through the propaganda spun by either side.

    https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=arron+banks+funding+brexit&oq=arr&aqs=chrome.2.69i57j0j69i59l2j69i61j69i60.4619j0j4&client=tablet-android-pega&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8

Here is a link also to the London School of Economics report layout how immigration has been driving down the UK deficit.

    https://www.theguardian.com/money/2016/may/11/eu-migrants-had-no-negative-effect-on-uk-wages-says-lse

Also a link to the House of Lords paper released May 16 detailing the implications of Brexit. So David Cameron was fully aware of what Brexit meant and its full implications, but he was too arrogant to believe the public would not vote against him. The QC also advises in his paper that the EU could in theory trigger Article 50 themselves if the UK Government in anyway sought talks with any of the remaining 27 countries before an official declaration to exit. So yet again the public are being fed a crock of shit that we hold the power to trigger Article 50. But Cameron doesn't care now, he and his wife have their eye on a 15,000 acre estate in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Probably to be bought with all his hidden up money. Never mind we have a good track record on how to run poor houses here in Britain. I'm sure rebuilding these vile institutions may well be part of our future when there's no social money or pension funds left.

Difference is our politicians actually get elected by the people, not their mates. Unlike Juncker.

Jean-Claude Juncker was elected as the lead candidate of the European People's Party (EPP) had Juncker as its lead candidate for the presidency of the Commission in the 2014 elections. The EPP won 220 out of 751 seats in the parliament. He was appointed the President of the EU Commission in a very similar way to the way our majority parliamentary party makes executive appointments.

There is a lot of misinformation about the EU

I see : the London School of Economics (whose true name is The Liberal School of Economics ) and the Guardian (the British ISIS propagandist) as sources : this will not convince many people

LJAd, to be honest I'm no follower of The Guardian, was purely added for an alternative point of view, but I doubt they would be best pleased being called propagandists for Daesh. Better calling them Daesh as they really hate that.

I could be really pedantic and go and find some really boring Government document bearing out the research done by LSE, but I've just heard Tony Blair's pathetic excuses for two hours over the Chilcot enquiry. Last thing I need is looking up any government related info after that. Seems like everything the Brit Govt come out with is distorted. To be honest their figures won't be accurate either, as even they don't know how many foreigners are in the UK.

    The night is young, enjoy.

    Hi Mutley, :)

It is impossible to deny validity of any of your assertions, quite the contrary, I agree with you. Serious consideration of your ideas would have been perfectly sensible before the Referendum. However, UK has clearly decided to leave. That is not just an indisputable fact but also extremely relevant matter for 27 nations who want this unpleasant episode settled as soon as possible to eliminate uncertainties that damage economies of their countries. This unprecedented situation directly affects more than half a billion of people.

Needless to say, it is extremely irresponsible to play games over the future of so many people loyal to EU. Even worse, it is absolutely immoral to ignore the future of 500.000.000 people because the failed British political elite want more time for negotiations to extract even more benefits from the community they want to leave. The only morally right decision would have been to leave.

Indeed. the night is young here too - enjoy.

Is the sky falling yet? Just wondering. Since the Brexit Initiative, interest rates for mortgage loans have dropped from 3.5% to 3.275%. Yay for me. I was preparing to take out a mortgage loan to accommodate my home renovation project soon. Might wait a bit longer for rates to drop further. Brexit, Brexit, Brexit!

Well not those who choose to take the words of the Mail and News International at face value...

The LSE is ranked no 4 in the world and the highest ranked UK University for economics and econometrics and no 12 ion scoail sciences as a whole

Owen , you could choose to go to the U.S. after their elections. Both possible results might panic stockmarkets and you could get your money back when the $ plunges.

Took me long enough to save up for this trip, haven't been there since 1996.
Thanks for the positive thoughts though.

When are you coming to the states? The pound (I don't have one of those funny looking L keys you have for the pound sign) will more than likely strengthen against the U$D before you get to town.
