    Hello,
Where are you based, and which nation's services was your Grandfather in?
Makes a big difference as to what's available, and how to obtain it.

    Cheers, (And good luck)
    Adam.

Hi there,if it's Brit records you're after. They can be a nightmare & include a visit to the National Archives at Kew. A lot are in person only, nothing by phone or internet. You also need to make an appointment. It's free, but not if you don't live in or around London. Stewy
