    Hi John

Lovely PAB...I as well, like this eagle. The cooper peeking through is probably a coating over the zinc. I have several IAB's with this trait.

Very nice bronze...I still need to get a bronze grade PAB...:(

    Best Regards, fischer

Well i'd like it when you get bored of it mate. These were finished with a black tone to them. Like this one,as well as a silver wash. Although i don't think there's any definitive proof. I'd say the black finish were more often than not awarded to SS Flak units. Just my thoughts:). Stewy

It's a parade mount EK2, but with these pics I cannot tell if it's a good one or not. Do you have a scanner?

Same here as with the others. I don't see any ridges for instance.

Thanks john, sorry I'm late with the response. I'm not much of a collector but it's all history and educational.

    Hi gents,
Opinions on this SS 8 year medal needed.I am going to our local auction where this medal is up on Saturday. They sent me these pics, but I have asked for more info pertaining to the rear and the teardrop suspension ring.I think this has some good points, but I would value some help here. From what I can see, the oak leaves with the little flecks look like an original? The background hasnt got those awful dots and seems to me ok. The runes are not the narrow type found on the fakes either. I will post the other pics when I get them sent to me. All opinions are very welcome.

    kindest regard John

I wish I could give you help on this one. In all the years i've collected, i've yet to see any SS LS medals at any show I ever attended. This SS stuff scares the heck outta me.

Nothing wrong with that badge. Most of mine have the same catch as yours has.

On the pictures you've shown, I would say that's a fake.

Thanks stewy, The points putting me off were the not so concentric rim, the soldered on ring being mis shapen and the solder or lack of it on the you know what. Hence the ask.
    Thanks again mate.
Carl, yeh your right its scary. But I am not gonna let that put me off mate.

    best regards John
