    'Torsk' is 'cod' in Norwegian.

'What do you mean ?' > 'Hva mener du ?'

But I think you would be surprised to find out how many Danish/Norwegian/Norse words there are in the English language. :p

    'Handel'. :D

No, I see what you mean. A few English words have managed to sneak into the Norwegian language and 'shopping' is one of them. But I rarely use it myself.

Almost correct though ( 'Jeg kjøper en torsk til lunsj' ), I'm impressed. :)

    That's Swedish. :D

Roel, I think it's time to do some splitting. :p

Oh yeah, we're having another fine language mess! :D

Is it true that Danes or Norwegians will thank you for thanking them when you thank them, leading to endless exchanges of "thanks for the thanks"? :D

    Just something I heard once.

    Just saying hello!

    Hi everyone!
My name is John and for the past couple of days I have been getting involved and enjoying myself enormously!
I probably dont have the sort of knowledge that you chaps have,as I am just a keen amateur who has not been able to get too involved due to family, job, bills etc,so forgive me if I seem a little naiive,or lack details, but I am sure that with a little help I'll be up to speed before long thanks all.John ;)
