That's great! I've learnt Latin a little too, but it seems to me quite difficult since it's a "dead" language.
Latin's a dead language, as dead as dead can be. It kiled the ancient Romans, and now it's killing me. (anon)
Well our forum is also rising from the bottom... there was a time, not too long ago that our forum was just as silent as theirs is... But we are big now! (it's hard to follow everything that is posted, maybe even too hard  )

Thanks, welcome tankpark! I will see to it that you recieve the veterans of WW2 honourary rank we use at this forum.
Well, I found this site when I was researching for my term paper (German Tanks of WWII), and I decided to check it out. My dad listens to Johann Sebastian Bach all the time, so, on a limb, I typed Johann for my login. I wasn't sure if I was going to actually do anything, but I decided to become involved and have enjoyed it ever since.
Hi, My name is Giles. Member of Her Majesties Armed Forces. Yes I'm a squadies, 17 years in the colour. 39 years young. Interested in History. Like learning languages, although not very good, but of the European languages Norwegian is the easist except for English, German is the hardest and Dutch is not too bad. tum di tum Thats about it. see you all soon. love GP
Hi GP, did I welcome you before? Ah well. Welcome to the forum! I understand now how you got to speak other languages... Are you in service right now? I mean, you can access the internet while in the armed forces?
Why shouldn't I be able to access the inetnet while in the armed forces. You have it in holland don't you? Heeft u niet internet in nederland?
Thanks Panzerprofile, I don't lie, may exaggerate the truth a little then all soldiers do. I have never come across one that doesn't. 8)
Of course, but then, I'm at home typing this. I'd expect it to be more awkward when in camp or something like that. Whatever. Like Panzer said, nice Dutch, welkom op het forum!
This would mean deerlike, if there's any such thing. Hert = deer, hart = heart. The word you were looking for is 'hartelijk'. This is quite good, except for the order of the words. I would make this '...maar ik woon in een huis, net als jullie.' Ik begrijp het nu. Of course, I was thinking naive as I can be that you are encamped all the time. Now I know better. Thanks!
Thanks it couldn't last long after you said good. I had to show off and prove how stupid I can be. Ah well no more Nederland on this forum.
Stupid? I wouldn't expect anyone from Britain to be able to speak Dutch. This was a very nice try indeed. However, no one's getting a word of this of course... Let's get back to English.
