I thought some might like to see my Woodsman with new Franzite grips.
I didn't know if I should put this in the Free FIre Zone or the Weapons forum. I chose Weapons since Patton somtimes carried his.

My uncle bought this one new in 1938 and my cousin gave it to me after he passed away since he knew how much I liked it. I shot it a couple of times with my father when I was little. I just found the Franzite grips on ebay. They fit perfectly with no grinding required for the safety. I don't know when they were made but they were in the original packaging and marked $4.50.

Of course I kept the orignal wooden grips.

A Colt Woodsman is on my bucket list right after a S&W 41! I love how you snuck in the WW2 connection. ;-)

Nice Woodsman. I've seen that picture of Patton before, but never noticed what he had in his holster.

Does anyone have any information on Patton's Woodsman? I found this in the comment section of http://couvisblog.blogspot.ca/2007/05/patton-pistols.html
