Mojo, here's one that hasn't been done, to my knowledge:

"A Comparison of Propaganda, Contrasting Material Aimed at Military Personnel and Material for 'Domestic Consumption."

Is there a difference? Why would there be one of there is? How is the enemy portrayed to the fighting troops vs. to the "folks back home".

    Thank you Lawrence.

One of the things that has always intrigued me are the similarities between the Hitler and Roosevelt administrations.

One appointed, one elected. One held elections with "JA" for a choice, one held open elections. One started WWII, one tried to avoid it, then to get the US to fight on the "good guys'" side.

I see what you mean. :D

    Who's Lawrence?

And Brad, are you thinking of socialism as the similarity of the two administrations in question?

I once wrote a forty page paper on "the effect of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact on the German and Soviet film industries." The prof told me he didn't think I could do it when I turned in that topic proposal.

Pretty much ... If you look at the programs that each promoted there are a more than a few similarities. I guess there is a fine line between altreuism and meglomania.
