I am still alive... That's a good sign!

Thank you all for your kind wishes! I am sure they worked. [IMG]

Well, I came to meet my groups throughout the week and I started the lessons with some of them. I think they felt comfortable with someone of almost their age who they can treat a little bit more normally. I told them they could call me Friedrich a not necessarily teacher, sir, professor, or whatever. I told them what I intend to do things; debates, historical and philosophical reading, my weird 'what-if' exams and the fact that I'll use a lot of graphic material. And of course, homeworks will involve to watch some historical films and then we'll discuss them. But first of all, I had to teach them what is History and what is it for. Then the currents of historical interpretation and the scientific method for historical investigation. I really enjoyed it. It's exhausting but nice.

Nearly $25 American dollars per class, minus 15% of taxes...

Well you’ve survived the first encounter! Re your title, you could take a leaf from Robin Williams and have them call you “Fuhrer mien Fuhrer” [IMG]
Unless you were teaching art, it probably wouldn’t be right to let them call you Freddy baby! [IMG]

However, when it come to discipline, remember the old saying, ”Spare the rod and spoil the child!” [IMG]

Your method of teaching sounds attractive Friedrich. Wish I could be in that class for a day.
