Don't vote it only encourages them....Don't write a letter either..it only makes em laugh...Send a brick...It gets their attention.
Nope, really it was the attitude of the Republican party toward the minority groups, Latinos included. Self-deportation was espoused by Romney, make the job situation so bleak that undocumented immigrants would leave since they couldn't find jobs, papers please legislation in Arizona, Romney's promise to veto any "Dream Act" bill that came to him if he was president. The Dream Act was held up in Congress and President Obama used Executive Authority to extend the possibility of citizenship to those who were brought to this country while they were children and had no say in the matter. If you are a kid who grew up in America, thinks of themselves as American, and wish to become naturalized citizens they shouldn't be deported just because they are here after their parents brought them here while they were minors. Now, Obama has to get to work and get that Immigration reform bill that got stalled out back into play and get it passed.
this was very stupid ...unrealistic ... Probably humble people live better in a infrahouse in the USA than in their home in Mexico - Cental America ... Better in Europe even in the "PIGS" than in Morocco - Ghana - Africa ...
Rumors of insurrection from folks who respect the Constitution, IF it's in their favor. Obama Wins, America Loses: Where Do We Go From Here? : The Last Resistance
It came out shortly after "They are coming to take me away" and by the same person/people. Can't find it now either recording or lyrics. The only line I remember was "Stay away from my frog." That was the key found it: The Emperor I'm Normal
All I'll say is Pay Backs a Bitch. Now 48.1% know how the rest of us felt during those long eight years of Bush/Cheney. I also get a kick out of the spin being put on the fact the GOP boasted how they would take the White House, the Senate and control Congress. Not only did they lose the White House, they lost ground in both the Senate and the House (although did maintain a majority there). It's over, the US will survive. Maybe, just maybe the message has been heard that the American people are tired of the rhetoric and partisan BS and if the GOP wants a different outcome in 2016 it's time to work together rather than posture for the big donors.
I'll give that a listen later. I saw Paul Revere and the Raiders sing "They're Coming To Take Me Away" back in 1974 at Six Flags over America in Missouri.
Hmmm, changing demographics take their toll. Old angry white guys just don't have the influence they used too.
