    close enough me 262, it's goa'uld.
sorry Roel, but those egyptian gods are humanoids who are possesed by wormlike parasites that have attached themselves to the the humans spine/brain.
IIRC not much (might be understatement) is mentioned about this in the movie, but anyone who has seen a bit of the series would definitely know.

Yes and it has been aired here several times, nnot surprising that you missed it though, it was usually at odd times, many reruns or episodes out of order and it hardly got any response.

Shouldn't you make a distinction between the two, then? As in, if it is impossible for someone who has only seen the movie to answer your question, shouldn't you formulate your question to apply only to the TV series?

By the way, I think the most important reason for my having missed the series is that I do not watch TV. ;)

    Well yes, obviously!

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0111282/

With the immeasurable Kurt Russell... I really don't understand why Chuck Norris jokes are about Chuck Norris instead of Kurt Russell. ;)

The two are connected and aren't distinctly seperate, just because the parasites aren't mentioned on the original film doesn't mean they're not there and it's unnecessary to make such a distinction for an informal quiz really unless the two stories are separate or contradict one another.

Yes, but if one is asked a question about "Stargate" as opposed to "Stargate SG-1" one would assume it was about the movie, right?

Never mind me, I'm just trying to find an excuse for my own ignorance! ;)

As this has been dormant for nearly two weeks I'll butt in if no-one minds.

On the BBC sci-fi sit-com Red Dwarf (Series 8) the prison army was known as the CANARIES. What supposedly did CANARIES stand for?

I would have thought that Smeghead at least would have been able to have a go at this one... ;)

Since I couldn't really given a clue, according to Rimmer it's:

Convict Army Nearly All Retarded Inbred Evil Sheep-shaggers.

Open quiz to anyone who wishes to ask a question.
