    Artillery is not really effective against tank concentrations, as only a direct hit will kill a tank, and all that shrapnel gets wasted. Plus Dora & Gustav have long reload times.

    Using them to shell supply dumps, enemy logistics columns, infantry concentrations etc would have helped a bit, but would effectively have no impact on the battle.
