Hi Fischer, great shot of von Ribbentrop. I have one of him as well, along with a fairly lengthy letter he wrote to me. I was amazed at how well he was with the English language ;-)) Oh and, in case it's not known and anyone asks? he isn't the Son of the Foreign Minister but is his Nephew.
the chap smoking the bad doobie with white tunic is a member of RAD. note on the front of his cap the wheat V and above it centered is the shovel symbol the style of the hat gives him away
No not at present Carl, but i will soon as i'll do some digging. You should see what's coming soon. It'll blow you away mate. Stewy
Hi Stewy, thanks Mate ;-)) Also, have you seen some of my GJ pics here yet? All of those were taken by the photographer of the 79th GJ A.R. and all of these pics were taken in the Caucasus mountains and I think some on Mount Elbrus itself. My favorite shot shows a GJ MG nest with a great mountainside view.
Here is one I thought was kind of interesting...It's not mine but I saved it in my files. What do you think of this winter pic? Best Regards, fischer
Love the pic. I finally nabbed a few great Winter pics recently. These were of an Awards Ceremony in the field showing first, an Officer being awarded his EKI Spange-then some of his men being awarded their EKIIs. The pics show them wearing snow-camo reversable parkas.
Thankyou Kai,being from Suomi you'll love the group i've got to post shortly. It spans the whole of the Lappland conflict. Stewy
I thought this one was funny....Look at the cuffs of the middle Guy's Anorak. He has custom Leopard skin cuffs...Pretty Cool...
NO NO NO NO! I HAVENT ANY PICS OF THIS BADGE. HAVE YOU GOT THE WHOLE OF THE THIRD REICH IN YOUR LOFT MATE? Cracking pics! Nice one. BR John
Just got this one yesterday. My scanners given up, so had to take a photo of a photo Thought the insignia/cuff band might mean they are on an exercise?? regards John
