Hmmm, showing my age. OK, thank you for the news. But what I said was news at the time. Long time ago on the black board issue. But what I can tell you here in the office we got four West Indies guys two Indians and a Welsh black gentleman and all are not offended by black bin bags. We got nothing against green bin bags at all, what we are against was the reason why we got them.
Sounds like the NCAA over here. The NCAA is the governing board for college athletics and they got a burr under their saddles several years ago regarding college mascots that used American Indian, oops, Native American themes, such as the Florida State Seminoles or the Illinois Fighting Illini. Almost every Indian tribe so utilized pretty much told the NCAA to get a grip, that they took pride in their names being used by the schools. But the NCAA persisted and managed to find a few maligned individuals whose entire lives had been ruined because some sports team called themselves something like "the Sioux" and so NCCA continued to beat the drum (pun intended) to end this most dreadful and vexing problem.
I really do appreciate your point. However, it's always about the rotten scum sucking pigs the lawyers. As they always say "the devil's in the detail", however "whenever there's a fight there's a fee". It was probably breach of some intellectual property right as well.
"Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."
Source ? Jeff, I think you'll have to be more specific and less reactionary to get my vote. Sir, have a good weekend.
Well said Jeff, excellent(Ricardo Montalbahn's accent for effect) or screwd up guilty people that had bad childhoods and want to bring everyone else down to the level of their painful miserable pathetic existence so that they can feel better about themselves
The source is in an email at work. Came from contest via Texas A&M. Votes? Not a problem for me, I'm not soliciting votes, just stating my opinion, using someone else's words. I wished that I said it Herr O, but I cannot take credit for it, I guess a T A&M student gets the honor.
UPDATE Good news, no one was against the green bin bags at all. It was the silly excuse of a PC thug, anyhow the boss has ruled the bin bags stay for now, and has ordered the person in question to apologies for there internal office memorandum.
Council orders fish and chip shops to put fewer holes in salt shakers in new health drive | the Daily Mail
These bland & insipid people that come up with such balls probably enjoy their food bland & insipid too. They'll no doubt want to ban the fish & chips themselves next, or insist they're boiled or something... hmmm, seems a funny thought but you never know with the way these sods recently seem to feel that they can tell us how to live, contrary to a 400 year tradition of individual liberties. Must stop now, huge rant building... I like salt. Cheers, Adam.
Out of all the madness in this thread, this is the most stupid of all. It was probably an idea from a five year old child. PS-Not the equation, BTW.
Holes x shaking time = salt delivered. If holes decreases and time increases.....well... Obviously, the politicians here are uneducated idiots. Next they will probably propose to make the holes smaller than the salt crystals to reduce use. This will lead to "customer proof lids" that cannot be removed so customers cannot just take the top off and sprinkle the salt. This in turn, no doubt, will lead to criminal laws enacted to prevent tampering with the now ineffective salt shakers along with laws against removing them from use altogether for fear of hurting the salt manufacturers. People start bringing their own salt instead......
