Heres a nice easy one: In the Movie, The Great Escape, who Jumps over the barbed wire border fence on the Swiss Border. (Actor Name, not Character)
I can't remember the name of his friend but--I have also heard of a freind of his doing the motorcycle jump. Tho I know he isn't Bruce Lee--i'll say it anyway--Bruce Lee.
Ah HA--how could I have missed a man with such a standout name? Actually--I had thought it had been another actor but--I had forgotten that in the Making of The Greatest Escape--that they did mention this fellow. I still would not have known remembered his name.
Tallyho Mr Bull, over to you. Bud Ekins can also be seen in Bullit , he's the motorcyclist that slides out during the car chase scene. CvM
The classic 'old airfield' scene of all time is, of course, at the beginning of 'Twelve O'Clock High' as Dean Jagger revisits the old 'field, and the wind blowing the corn becomes the wash of Wright Cyclone engines..... At what location was that famous scene shot ?
Just a wild guess but--Devonshire Airfield? Or how about Sheffield Airfield? As you can tell--I don't remember the exact name--or any name remotely close to the one your looking for. Darn--its only been a few months since I last saw this movie. [ 21. August 2003, 01:37 PM: Message edited by: C.Evans ]
If nobody guesses it by the time I get back here--im going to cheat tonight and watch the movie for the answer.
Archbury--ah yes--I should have remembered the Robin Hood Ceramic that Dean Jagger bought--Robin Hood/Archer. I still don't know the answert though.
Martin--it is a bit too cruel and i'm going to have Guy Gibson lead a raid against your installations.
