Quite welcome Scott, and heres more. Walmart had for Easter, many great new offerings for sale like: King of kings, Ben Hur, and quite a few Ray Harryhausen and or Sword and Sandal movies. I picked up a Harryhausen movie-and Spartacus as well as 300 Spartans. All these were priced @ $6 per.
Watched the "Hurt locker". Very good movie except for the part of the sniper battle. It took ages to get the cartridge cleaned from blood and if you stay in one place that long the enemy sniper would have gotten you 10 times it lasted to get the cartridge clean...In my view that more or less spoiled the movie for me...
Saw a classic Flynn Western: Dodge City-as well as a classic Bogie movie: All Through the Night. Great stuff these WB movies are ;-))
"Kelly's Heroes" is on again, and I'm going to finish it out. I picked it up when Kelly, Crapgame and Oddball are at the supply dump. Great flick! ***** out of *****!
Same here. I just discovered Kellys heroes was on on AMC and got to it as they were making their way through that German held town that Mulligan was tossing shells all over the place in ;-))
Forgot to mention that 300 Spartans is on my next hit for the day-this time on portable DvD player while having a late lunch at Johnny Carinos
Saw an Akira Kurosawa classic last night on TCM: The Seven Samurai. It gets better with each viewing.
Just gone through the world at war great series and it is older than I am. The World at War - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia If you have not seen it yet you missing out.
Watched a COMBAT episode that had Robert Culp in it-thanks to his passing away yesterday at the age of 79. :-(
