Now that's one unforgettable movie for me. I remember being scared when I first saw this film. Just watched the director's cut of the Big Red One with my Dad.
I watched the remake of "The Omega Man", the one with Will Smith. It wasn't so good. Last night I watched the first installment of the new HBO series "Treme", (pronounced Tre-may). It wasn't too good either. I have no idea what idea they were trying to get across, but what I got out of it was why so much of certain areas of New Orleans is still just like it was the day after Katrina came to town.
For King and Empire: Baptism of Fire and Slaughter and Sacrifice. They were about the CEF's involvement in the battles of Second Ypres and the Somme
just watched the pianist for the umptinth time. And everytime i watch it, it's like i have never seen it before. So attached to the story. Great film. Sometimes It's nice to go back and watch your favorite films over and over. Some movies you never get tired of watching
Just yesterday whilst dining at my favorite pseudo-Italian Ristorante (Carinos) thats (Johnny Carinos to Yankees  ) I watched a Charlton Heston Sci-Fi classic: The Omega Man. 1st time ive seen it in decades and I was surprised that John Dierkes was in it. Oh and forgot, as I just bought a copy of a Gary Cooper Wesrtern classic on DVD "Hai Nuhn" (thats) High Noon to Yankess  that will be the next movie watched.
Cought most of: The Devils Brigade this morning thanks to my Cat jumping on the bed and laying down on my stomach waking me up ;-D
Hi A/ im not sure if I have ever seen it or not? so ill have to rent it from netflix I guess? If I have seen ut? its been so long ago that I have no memory of it. I always did think it was an unusual movie for Lee Marvin to be in.
Great movie it is. The first time I got to see it it was being played late night on a school night. My Mom was the one to OK it and stayed up with me to watch it though she hd to get up in a few hrs to go to work.
Today the national Finnish tv will send a document on Katyn and later on the film version. Gonna watch ´em both.
I did warn you Gordon... I understand it did not do well in the States and most likely be a flop here.
