Another night of lost sleep. Yet another new (to me) informative TV Episode I have never seen. Hitler: Fueling the Nazi Fire. http://www.locatetv.com/tv/hitler-fueling-the-nazi-fire/9483437 Can't find it on Youtube. On American Heros Channel right now. Used to be the Military Channel. (So sad to see that go...) (AHC is better described as the "Criminal Worship Channel.") Edit: Premiered today: http://redcarpetcrash.com/hitler-fueling-the-nazi-fire-premieres-saturday-november-7-on-american-heroes-channel/
Oak Island New season. They string you along. They "found" an old coin in the 2nd season. Figure it was probably "salted" in order to create interest. Folks often salt areas with gold so that investors catch the fever. But this new season had a satelite that could see underground tunnels...Also other evidence they presented, said there were tunnels and a body chained to a post. Also a chest like box. Whatever happened to the nazi gold train, or the millenium falcon ship on the bottom of the Barent (?) Sea. Still have my hopes up for Ceres though. edit-SP
Now playing on the ex Military Channel, now American Hero's Channel An episiode I had not seen before. Very informative, lots of information new to me. Secrets of World War 2 - The Allies counter German submarine warfare Not found on Youtube or whatever. Strange - the rest of the series is up. Hmmm. Not found in the serie's episode list either: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0418426/episodes?season=2
Blacklist - beware "The Cabal". River with Stellan Skarsgard, Homicide Investigator battling urban PTSD and London East End underworld. Fred, Secrets of World War 2 - The Allies counter German submarine warfare sounds good thanks for the heads up. Rumor - Jon Snow seen around Game of Thrones set, perhaps he lives.
It was followed by Secrets of World War ll: A series of ??? ... Tactical blunders ... (sic) during the Island Hopping War in the Pacific. Pretty damned good. Chock a-block with facts. Hard to keep up. I like that! It was NOT, not not the episode below. Completely different. (I had thought that AHC renamed it from "The Secrets Behind the Battle of Guadalcanal" (below)) Found Winston Churchill aka xXxHistorychannelxXx list of Secrets of World War ll Documentaries. It was a completely different episode, and not the "The Greatest Sea Battle in History" episode either. I will troll through this later to see if the AHC idiots mistitled the previous episode. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g5TJMTmxH9I
On right now. 12:00 to 1:00 PM PST Secrets of World War ll - Mines deployment, development detection. ________________________ There are several more coming up shortly on AHC (American History Channell) 1:00 PM PST repeated at midnight - Secrets of World War ll - How special regiments of trained men systematically looted the great Treasures of Europe during (the early years of) WW2 2:00 PM PST repeated at 1:00 AM tomorrow (Friday) Secrets of World War ll - Special Forces work to disrupt enemy activities 5:00 PM PST Secrets of World War ll - American Bombers attack the German-held Oil Fields at Ploetsi Romania. (I might ??? have seen this episode before...) 6:00 PM PST Secrets of World War ll - The Germans thought the fortress at Colditz was impregnable (I might have seen this episode before...) 7:00 PM repeated at 10:00 PM PST Secrets of World War ll - Heavily Armed Cargo Ships were used by the German Navy to sink ships and supply Axis submarines and warships at sea. The rest NOT repeated as far as I can see as for now. MAY be new episodes.
Bugger. What's I guy to do? 9 straight hours of NFL. (Yes, I am an addict.) I cannot watch one channel and record another, thanks to Shaw Satellite arse wholes deficiency...
Castle: Those Moments (Season 1, Episode 1) Repeats at Midnight PST here on the Space Channel. Damned good. Albeit one of the few... Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYPXwC_Jfdo
Oak Island. Not sure i buy the satellite shots pinpointing diamond, rubies, gold etc... But the tunnels seem to actually exist, no?
Watched "Taking Chance" with Kevin Bacon the other night. Makes the third or fourth time and still carries an impact.
A 2011 documentary on WW2 veterans and their struggle to readjust to civilian life when they came home called "He Has Seen War." Pretty good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kEQRdEc6mWw
It gets better and better as the season goes on. I think a Season 2 is a very real possibility. I hope so, because there are a lot of unanswered questions left.
Taxicab Confessions There are some good fares here. Especially liked the American lady and her French fiance, and the cop who has night terrors. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgWVmi5P-D0#t=2m40s
