I'm starting to get the hang of this newbie talk! :D

Anway, to avoid going off topic, a drill instructor sounds like a nice job. It is actually quite fun yelling at people.

Now thats a good reason. Can see the merits in that one. Does Lexington have an old comrades society or something similar? Have you ever managed to chat to anyone who worked the deck at that time? That would be interesting to compare.

Because I think I would have liked to develop "comradships" with men in the camps(Or any other nations camps) so that I could end the war with a feeling of that I changed lives and helped lives.

I feel strongly about German POW medical care as I get the impression that there is a myth that German camps were devoid of Doctors.

But believe me, I would serve as a Doctor in any nations' camps that I could have because a captured soldier has done their duty and deserve to be treated with respect and care.

Slipdigit: A German ran POW camp, sorry for the confusion.
JCFalkenbergIII: I would have been either position! I am sure that both would have been a great help.

I would serve with the Waffen SS under SSBrigadefuher Paul Hausser perhaps during the third battle of Kharkov and saving the Whermacht as usual.

    Usual combat gear would suffice.
