Gordon, you should have driven to your local gun shop, given it to the owner and request he have it deactivate. It could have been yours!

I have always had a special affinity for the stuka. It's so...oddly pleasing. Plus, no better way to pick up girls! :D ;) ...

My tastes run to opposite extremes. On the large side I would love to be the owner of a fully functional and armed Iowa class battleship. Imagine the fun one could have with that. On the opposite end, I know it came out well before WWII but was used then and is still in use to this day, an M1911A1 .45cal ACP, of which I own a Springfield model myself. And for those trivia buffs out there....how of you knew that the Singer sewing machine company was contracted and produced 500 of these weapons in 1941?

Well, Bill, you can holster your Singer made 45 and ride ashore in your Food Machinery Corporation LVT 4 while protected by a GM made F4F Wildcat and the bombing is done by a Goodyear and Ford made B-24. A Pullman made M-4 Sherman can accompany you too.....

It would always be fun to own a Sherman to roll around in. Pick a target a few yards out and just blast it away. Another would have to be a submarine to go around the ocean in. Imagine the intensity and just being in a vintage sub. [IMG] [IMG]

Yeah I know...Wasn't sure if I really wanted a real gun at the time and it was $250 more than this, can't wait for the next Gun show in November!
