Your favourite failed tanks pre-1945

    I guess that makes three of us. A couple more and we can start our own AC fan club :D

    The point I was making that in concept, and service life, it was obsolete.

    The two man and one man tankette concept didn't work beyond 1939.

    Sure it made a good account of itself, and Polands tank ace Roman Orlick against LT-35s, Panzer 2s, 3s and ones scratching up a few kills.

    Its very thin, armour and lack of radio did not do justice to its small frame, agility and rapid firing 20mm gun which was good at the time.

    I still like it.

    Being obsolete and being a failure are two different things.

    Would you please give me reason why you beleive that tank was a failure?

    Well, AFAIK the Panzer I was never intended to be anything more than a training tank - so you could say that it was actually a great success! :D

    The Pz.Kpfw.I was certainly intended for combat. It was sold to other countries as a battle tank, and it received the expensive face-hardened steel.
