As you notice, the topic says "top 3 favourite" not "Top 3 best" so I reserve myself the right to establish the Criteria.

    Cheers...

    Tanks

    1. The Cromwell. It's beautiful Meteor engine finally solved the engine problem that had plagued british AFV designs for years.

    2. The Cromwell. Fitted with the 75mm gun it could deal with hard and soft targets. Again a problem that had plagued british tankers for years.

    3. The Cromwell. The seed that would grow and give us the Comet and argueably the Centurion. This trio of AFV showed that the brits could build tanks.

Somehow there is something very british about the Cromwell. It is the only tank in the war that could "dash". A panzer of any mark could move fast(ish) but a dash? No. Neither the superb t-34, driven by brave Ivans. Fast? Yes!! Mobility? Yes!! But only british tankers having a cuppa could drop their mugs and disappear into the hull and... Make a dash towards the naughty nazis.
